Effective and economical natural remedies for a sparkling smile and a healthy, sweet-smelling mouth are as close as your kitchen pantry.

Home remedies for HealthyTeeth and Mouth

1.Chew cinnamon gum once a day.

Cinnamon flavored chewing gum reduces bacteria in the mouth that cause bad breathe. The gum contains cinnamic aldehyde, an essential oil that inhibits the growth of bacteria responsible for cavities and periodontal infections.

 2.Be a tea drinker.

Flavonoids and other tea ingredients seem to prevent harmful bacteria from sticking to teeth and also block production of a type of sugar that contributes to cavities. Alternate between green and black tea and enjoy a few cups a day.

3.Gargle with apple cider vinegar in the morning.

The vinegar helps to remove stains, whiten teeth and kill bacteria in your mouth and gums. Brush as usual after your gargle.

4.Brush your teeth with baking soda once a week.

This will help remove stains and whiten your teeth. Use it just as you would toothpaste. You can also use salt as an alternative toothpaste. If your gums start to feel raw, switch to brushing with salt every alternate day.

5.Stock xylitol gums and mints.

This natural sugar alcohol may look or taste just like sugar but it contains 40% fewer calories and plaque formation by inhibiting the growth of decay promoting bacteria
